Health and safety management complies with international standards
NanoFocus AG, developer and manufacturer of optical 3D measurement systems for the characterization of technical surfaces, meets the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS 18001). The health and safety management of the company was certified by TÜV Rheinland.
OHSAS 18001 is an international system for occupational safety aiming at minimizing accident and health risks of employees, customers and visitors. Recognized in more than 80 countries, OHSAS 18001 is one of the best-known management systems for work safety.
Structurally OHASAS 18001 is closely related to the international norm ISO 9001. It is, therefore, well-suited for implementation in an integrated management system. At NanoFocus the OHSAS-certification also adds to the ISO 9001 certification for quality management. NanoFocus was certified to ISO 9001 in 2012 and has already successfully passed the re-certification audit this year.
Marcus Grigat, COO of NanoFocus AG, says: “The health and safety of our employees is important to us and we are happy to document this with the OHSAS-certification. Combined with the ISO 9001 certificate it is a further important step in the continuous increase of quality. With the certification we also meet the increasing requirements on suppliers by international large companies.”
