Measurement technology for quality and production control in aerospace industry
NanoFocus AG, developer and manufacturer of high-precision optical 3D-surface measurement systems, attends the AIRTEC International Aerospace Supply Fair in Frankfurt, Germany. The measurement systems of NanoFocus AG enable optimal quality and production control of technical surfaces in the aerospace industry. The trade exhibition presents new technologies, innovations and trends in the aerospace supply industry.
Technical surfaces in the aerospace industry have to meet high requirements. With the help of optical 3D-metrology, precise surface characteristics can be determined quickly and non-destructively. These allow for a reliable determination of the quality of the materials used. In addition, at the hands of an exact definition of finished surfaces, the intended functional criteria of the materials can be produced.
The fast, automatable and production-related measurement technology of NanoFocus can be used for a broad range of measurement tasks and various surfaces in the aircraft industry. It can be applied, for instance, for the exact analysis of riveted assemblies, for DIN EN ISO conforming roughness measurements on turbine blades or the determination of forming properties. With the help of qualitative and quantitative statements about wear volume of turbines or defect detection, for example on plexiglas windows, production processes can be optimized and production costs reduced. Visual features are, not least, of importance in production. The NanoFocus metrology systems are used to enable optimal varnishing properties of certain materials.
NanoFocus is technologically leading in the sector of production-oriented optical 3D surface analysis in the micro and nanometer range. The metrology systems of NanoFocus are suitable for measurements on large parts as well as for application in testing laboratories. NanoFocus technology is successfully applied by renowned manufactures in the aerospace industry.
