New compact measurement head and multisensor system extend the product range
NanoFocus AG, manufacturer and developer of optical 3D surface measurement technology and analysis software, presents its powerful measurement solutions for industry and research at Control 2013 in hall 7 / booth 7318. Two product innovations are showcased this year: a newly developed compact measurement head from the μsurf product line and a multisensor system which allows the combination of line-scanning and areal 3D surface analyses. The trade show Control opens its gates from 14th to 17th May in Stuttgart/Germany.
The newly developed compact measurement head from the μsurf product line of NanoFocus was optimized for use with a robot arm. Small size, high mobility and applicability in all mounting positions were emphases during development. Thanks to cables suitable for drag chains and with a total length of up to 15 m, the surface measurement system has a uniquely large operating radius when attached to a robot. “Our new compact measurement head is ideally suited for fully automated production control”, says Jürgen Valentin, Chief Technology Officer and Management Board Spokesman of NanoFocus AG. The μsurf measurement head can also be applied in stationary use. With a length of only 37 cm and a weight of 3.5 kg the system can easily be integrated into various measuring set-ups. It has all the properties of the patented and industry-proven μsurf sensor technology of NanoFocus such as high measurement speed, great precision and applicability on nearly all surfaces.
The second product innovation is a multisensor system. It combines the areal measuring technology of the μsurf technology and line-scanning surface analysis with the μscan point sensors. The integration of the two approved NanoFocus technologies in one system enables the user to choose the optimal sensor for each individual measurement task. For the analysis of larger measurement areas the μscan technology is well suited. Selected areas or precisely defined measurement positions can then be inspected more closely by switching to the μsurf technology. Both sensors are controlled by one software ensuring highest user friendliness.
